Report from the APMAPAC Chair

Promote and Protect Our Profession
The holidays have come and gone, and the new year brings
new hopes and challenges. The APMAPAC and APMA POP
2020 campaign year has begun in earnest. Your support early
this election year is instrumental to our ongoing success. Please
make your donation today.
I have been in practice for 40 years, and from the time I
entered practice, I was taught by my mentor, Sheldon Willens,
DPM, to give back to the community and to the profession that
has afforded me the tools to make a good living. He also taught
me to always be part of the team and to make things better for
the next generation.
Now I am asking you to do what I have done for the past 40
years. Give back to the profession to help promote and protect
it so there is a better tomorrow for you and future generations
of podiatric physicians and surgeons.

APMAPAC and APMA POP (formerly the APMA Government Education Fund) are the avenues through which you can
support the profession. APMAPAC is the arm of APMA that raises money to support candidates for federal office and educates
them on the value of podiatric medicine. APMA POP supports
the annual Legislative Conference and other educational activities to benefit our profession and provides administrative support for the PAC.
These two funds help to promote and protect our profession. Both funds accept voluntary personal contributions from
our members, and APMA POP also accepts corporate donations from members, non-members, and sponsors who believe our profession is an important and integral component of
patient care.
My question to you is: Is your profession important to you?
The answer is clearly yes, so why not give back to your
