THE STATE OF THE YPP: WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2020

Wow. When I started my tenure as Young Physician Liaison to the APMA Board of Trustees
in March, I couldn't have imagined everything that was ahead of me. The last not-quite-ayear has been quite a ride, and I am immensely proud of all that the Young Physicians'
Program (YPP) and Young Physicians' Leadership Panel (YPLP) have accomplished.
The YPLP remains committed to fulfilling the recommendations of the 2018 APMA brand audit
and continues to create new, valuable resources for young members.

Last year saw the launch of the APMA

medium for educating our members. Two
series went live this year, a coding series and

with a sense of purpose. Prior to the 2019
Young Physicians' Institute (YPI), the YPLP
worked with a consultant and APMA staff
to create a YPP-SPECIFIC MISSION AND VISION
for the first time in the history of the
program. This effort will guide the program
for years to come. More information is available at www.apma.org/ypp.
Also in 2020, we are excited to bring the
popular YPI to a new home! After nearly a decade
in Nashville, this year's YPI WILL BE HELD IN
CHICAGO, October 2-4. If you have not attended
the YPI before, talk to your state component
or residency program now about the benefits
of this event. Registration will open in the spring.

OF THE LECTURES ON THE REdRC. The REdRC
was launched in 2012, and so some content
is nearly a decade old. YPLP members are
now in the process of watching each lecture
to see what is still good, what needs to be
updated, and what needs to be removed.
