* A private practice podiatric physician who is involved in
continuing podiatric medical education and/or residency
education (but may not be a residency director) and possesses experience with the function of the council, such as
service as a CPME on-site evaluator or member of a standing or ad hoc committee of the council.
* A postsecondary educator-this individual must come
from the postsecondary education community. This individual shall have no vested interest in or financial relationship to the podiatric medical profession.
In addition to the requirements outlined above, candidates
are encouraged to describe other podiatric and non-podiatric
experiences they have had that strengthen their submission.
Individuals seeking election to the council must submit a curriculum vitae and an application letter that addresses both the
requirements and the area of need to hmstagliano@cpme.org.
Applications received after June 15 will not be considered.

Public Notice: Call for Third-Party Comments
In accordance with CPME procedures, interested individuals or institutions are invited to submit third-party comments
with respect to compliance of the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University
of Medicine and Science with the standards and requirements
of the council. The council will take into consideration all
comments received by July 15, as part of the college's on-site
evaluation scheduled for November 15-18. Comments must
relate specifically to the council's requirements as published
in CPME 120, Standards and Requirements for Accrediting
Colleges of Podiatric Medicine, available at www.cpme.org.
Signed comments received by the council will be shared
with the institution and members of the evaluation team prior to the visit. The institution is notified of third-party comments so it may have opportunity to respond. The council
will exercise its best efforts to keep confidential the identity of
an individual or entity who submits a comment, unless the
person or entity has specified in writing that it is permissible
to reveal their identity. If confidentiality is appropriate, all
correspondence with the institution will maintain this confidentiality. During its review of the college, the evaluation
team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to the
accreditation standards.

Council to Hold Spring Meeting
The council will hold its spring meeting April 24. Included
in the council's agenda will be review of progress reports submitted by the colleges, consideration of continuing or new
approval status of approximately 30 residency programs, and
review of progress reports from continuing education providers. Other CPME agenda items include review of comments
from the community of interest concerning proposed revisions to CPME publications 320, Standards and Requirements
for Approval of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residencies,
and 330, Procedures for Approval of Podiatric Medicine and
Surgery Residencies. The council will consider these documents for final adoption during the April meeting.

Spring 2021 Residency Visits-Invitation for
Comments
As part of the residency approval process, CPME conducts
on-site evaluation of new programs and on-site re-evaluation
of approved programs. Each fall and spring, CPME meets to
determine approval decisions. At its fall meeting, the council
reviews programs visited during the previous spring's on-site
evaluation cycle, and at its spring meeting, the council reviews programs visited during the previous fall's on-site evaluation cycle. To review the programs currently scheduled for
on-site evaluation during the spring of 2021, visit www.cpme.
org/onsiteschedule. The council updates the list as evaluation
dates are confirmed.
The council's residency approval process includes consideration of third-party comments concerning an institution's
qualifications for either provisional or continued approval.
Comments must be received 15 days prior to the program's
scheduled site visit date. All third-party comments must be
signed. Comments are forwarded to the evaluation team, and
anonymously to the program director for response, if appropriate, prior to the visit. Please submit third-party comments
for programs to be reviewed this spring to:
