Physician Wellness-What it Means and What You Can Do (1.0 CECH)
Scott Hughes, DPM, discusses physician burnout, along with strategies
to improve physician well-being. Presented in conjunction with the
American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
Balancing Exceptional Patient Care and Building an Exceptional
Practice (1.0 CECH)
Andrew Schneider, DPM; Alan Bass, DPM; and Luke Hunter, DPM,
discuss how to balance patient care and the business of medicine.
The Role of a Podiatrist in Geriatric Falls Prevention (1.0 CECH)
Alton Johnson Jr., DPM, discusses why falls prevention is important
and shares steps podiatrists can take to ensure the health and safety of
their older patients.
Multimodal Analgesia Prescribing Practice (1.0 CECH)
Ashley M. Nettles, DPM, and Brandon M. Brooks, DPM, MPH, describe
the impact of multimodal analgesia on opioid prescribing practice and
identify common non-opioid analgesics used in foot and ankle surgery.
In addition to these CECH offerings, APMA is excited to host a new learning path
in the OLC. " Resident Essentials " is a collection of on-demand activities designed to
meet the annual didactic instruction requirements of CPME 320. This course bundle
includes resident-specific programming on the following topics: falls prevention,
resident well-being, pain management, cultural humility, workplace harassment and
discrimination awareness and prevention, and the foundations and importance of
coding and medical documentation.
