Audiology students with an interest
in research-apply for ARTA!
Are you a doctor of audiology (AuD) student, PhD student, or postdoctoral fellow who has an interest in research and would like to
attend the ASHA Convention? The Audiology/Hearing Science Research Travel Award (ARTA) is a program designed for you! The
program off ers the following benefi ts:
❚ Complimentary registration to attend the ASHA Convention
in November
❚ Networking events with student peers and researchers from
across the country
ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
Individuals are eligible to apply if they have not previously won this award and are enrolled in one of the following by the date of the
annual ASHA Convention:
❚ a research doctoral degree (PhD) program focusing on
audiology, tinnitus, balance, or hearing science
❚ a postdoctoral fellowship program focused on audiology,
tinnitus, balance, or hearing science
❚ a combined clinical doctoral/research doctoral degree
(AuD/PhD) program in audiology or hearing science where
the clinical doctoral degree program is accredited by the
Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and
Speech-Language Pathology (CAA)
❚ a clinical doctoral degree (AuD) program accredited
by the CAA
The ASHA Convention off ers hundreds of best-in-class education sessions on research and clinical topics, as well as ample
opportunity to explore career options and network with fellow students, researchers, and clinical practitioners.

ARTA program will take place as circumstances permit. ASHA continues to monitor requirements for large gatherings such as the ASHA Convention. The health
and safety of ASHA members, exhibitors, and other meeting attendees is paramount.
