Award for World
Refrigeration Day

Ryan Diaz, P.E., Associate Member ASHRAE,
has been selected as one of the "40 Under
40" winners this year by New Jersey's Business Journal.

Stephen Gill, Member ASHRAE, won the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) Magazine Gold Award for his vision to create
World Refrigeration Day and the drive to garner support around the world.
The term of Amit Ahuja, 2019-2020 president of Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International is underway,
following the organization's 2019 Annual
Meeting.
The NEBB board of directors named Jeffrey
Schools as the 2019-2020 NEBB president.
Schools succeeds Jim Whorton, P.E., Member ASHRAE, who served as the 2018-2019
NEBB president.
Johnson Controls International has named
Brian Stief vice chairman and chief financial officer. As vice chairman,
Stief will serve as an adviser to
George Oliver, chairman and
CEO, and continue his duties as
chief financial officer. Stief plans
to retire effective Dec. 31, 2020
following the expiration of his
previously announced retention
arrangement.
A.O. Smith Corporation announced that Jim Margoni, se- Keller
nior vice president of wholesale
sales at A. O. Smith Water Products, will be
retiring in early 2020, and Rick Hawk, current vice president of sales for national accounts, has been named the successor, effective Jan. 1. Margoni has agreed to remain on
with the organization for a brief period after
Jan. 1 to assist with the transition.

Industrial Project Innovation (IPI) announced that Steven L. Rosen, Life Member ASHRAE, has joined the IPI SK Battery
America (SKB) team as the project mechanical discipline manager. The SKB project is a
new battery cell manufacturing plant located in Commerce, Ga., that will build lithium-ion batteries for hybrid and fully electric
automobiles.
Danfoss Drives has promoted Ian Barrie to
become its new head of sales for the Americas. Barrie succeeds Santiago Martin, who
has held the position since 2016. Martin
plans to relocate to Europe, where he will assume a new position in Danfoss Cooling.
ESD (Environmental Systems Design) has
promoted Ryann Menges to launch, lead
and grow the firm's new Manhattan office.
Kirk Rabius, P.E., will lead the
smart cities program at Stanley
Consultants in Centennial, Colo.
NAVAC has hired Keith Keller for
the role of southern regional sales
manager.
