Saint-Joseph’s Oratory Sunday June 26/1–5 p.m./$36 Discover Montréal with its bi-cultural heritage and cosmopolitan blend of the old and new on this comprehensive overview of the city. You will have the chance to see how culturally diverse Montréal is, unique architecture and historical legacy, the financial district, Montréal’s leading museums and Montréal’s elegant upper class communities. Montreal Biodôme and the Olympic Tower Tuesday June 28/8 a.m.–noon/$35 In the heart of Montréal, just minutes from the Olympic Tower, this “house of life” transforms visitors into explorers and transports them to the lush tropical rainforest of the Americas, a maple grove in the Laurentian Maple Forest, the banks of the Gulf of St. Lawrence River and the icy shores of the Labrador Coast and Sub-Antarctic Islands. General Tours: See the City Bell Center Guided Tour: Home of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey team Monday, June 27/2:30–6 p.m./$20 (Walking Tour) With a capacity of 21,273 seats, the Bell Center is the largest arena for hockey in North America and one of the most technologically advanced and versatile venues in the world. This behind-the-scenes tour will allow you to view mechanical rooms and special equipment, and also provides an opportunity to see the arena. The designer of the complex will also be onsite to show attendees the technical systems and answer any technical questions. Montreal Biodôme Tuesday, June 28/1:30–4:30 p.m./$20 Designers present a guided technical tour of this ASHRAE Technology Award winning facility. The designer will be onsite to show attendes the technical systems and answer technical questions. Beauharnois Generating Station (Hydro-Quebec) Tuesday, June 28/1:30–6 p.m./$20 Stop by for a tour of Beauharnois generating station, one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in the world. Equipped with 38 generating units stretching for nearly a kilometre, it’s one of Hydro-Québec’s most powerful generating stations. With a total power of 1 656.8 MW, Beauharnois generating station is fifth in the world and fourth in the world for energy consumption. Hydro-Quebec, the owner of this generating station, will guide this tour, designed specifically for the ASHRAE Annual Conference attendees.
