All the pieces on the
project were required at
the AWI Premium Grade
standards, Hussain reports.
" The most noteworthy, " he
says, " were the glowing
wood walls, coffee kiosk with
radius stone walls from single
slabs of stone, and the open
collaboration center in one of
the lobbies. This project was
challenging in the sense, we
did not have any one unique
feature piece. Nearly every
single area of woodwork was
a project in itself. Specifically,
the glowing wood walls and
the glass and wood wall in
the dining area were by far
the most intricate pieces. "

new image for the space,
he continues. " The modern
look of Oak paired with sharp

steel finishes and several
LED lights housed inside
the woodwork required
lots of coordination and
collaboration. Our engineers
were challenged since
access was limited for many
conditions and a lot of the
work
work had a lock step install to
ensure we could deliver the
scope in time. An enormous
effort by our project engineer
was key in ensuring these
units provided the outcome
desired from a functional
design perspective. "
Yu notes that the project
went into construction during
the Covid pandemic, and the
project team collaborated
well on meeting the
challenges that came with
it. " Particularly noteworthy
items were both the cafe
counter and the screen wall
that incorporated stainless
steel and linear lighting that
requires careful craftsmanship
and attention to detail, " she
explains. " The design team
selected European Oak which
is an elegant accent within
the space. "
