I LOVE BAYTOWN
I'm Rick Davis, the city manager for Baytown, Texas. Welcome to the
debut edition of the Baytown Voice. We are excited to launch a new
community magazine that's just for residents. We want the Baytown
Voice to be a publication dedicated to the voice of the City. We also want
this to be an easier way to showcase our community while having more
conversations with our citizens. The hope is that you will be able to learn
more about what's going on around town while using the magazine as
your trusted source for information.
Progress and success in local government are more challenging without your input throughout the year.
I encourage you to check out the City's group of social media pages, as well as baytown.org, to see your
City at work. To see more about upcoming capital improvement Projects or updates to current plans, visit

As a city, we are proud of our award-winning Parks and Recreation department. This team is constantly
looking for new ways to entertain our residents and guests, while making our annual events better each year.
There are also a variety of fun events that pepper the calendar at the Baytown Community Center. And don't
forget, the only way to cool off from the Baytown heat is Pirates Bay. In addition to all of your entertainment
options, the Parks and Recreation crew is working hard to keep our city parks safe and fresh. For a list of

I hope you love reading the Baytown Voice as much as we enjoyed putting it together, but we want your
