entering XRRA1 (for the X-ray radiation resistance
associated-1 gene) takes you to a page with all of
the expression information about that gene. Clicking on "Significant Single-Tissue eQTLs for XRRA1
(ENSG00000166435.15) in all tissues" returns the
data shown in Figure 3. Here, all the eQTLs associated with this gene in all tissues can be accessed. However, note that this is a particularly eQTL-rich gene,
with over 2,100 pages of information. The information can be filtered to a specific tissue by entering
a tissue type in the "Search" field. The reference SNP
cluster ID (rsID) associated with each eQTL is shown
in the SNP column and links to the dbSNP database.
The P value and normalized effect size (NES) are dis-

Example 1: Finding eQTLs associated with
a gene
eQTLs associated with a gene can be found by entering the gene symbol in the Browse "By gene ID"
