Now more than ever we have unlimited access to information. The answers to virtually any question are quite literally
at our fingertips. Regardless of medium or device, we have
the ability to consume information however we choose.
With that in mind, we concluded that the best way to serve
our members is with great resources that span print, digital,
social and live events platforms. As a thought leader in the
bank insurance and securities industry, BISA aims to
provide a holistic content experience that better supports
the diverse interests of our members.

BISA recently launched Portfolio Weekly (formerly OneSource) and the online content hub to give our members
the most up-to-date information regarding banking and
compliance. In both print and online, you can find articles about topics ranging
from investor relations to the recent DOL Fiduciary Rule. Our plan is to roll out
new content every week that responds to industry trends, challenges and opportunities. We know how fast-paced and shifting the industry can be.

While digital and print publications are great ways to increase industry knowledge on a daily basis, BISA also promotes professional growth through our live
events and conventions. Our 2017 CEO Retreat was held on June 7-9 in Chicago at
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. This retreat covered executive leadership development, current wealth management trends and the intersection of business strategy and technology. We were particularly excited to have
Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts speak about leadership in a high-stakes setting.
Other notable speakers include Susan Lucia Annunzio, CEO of the Center for
Higher Learning.
There are still some opportunities for networking and professional development
for the remainder of the year. In November, we will be hosting a Regulatory &
Compliance Summit in Washington, DC. We encourage all bank insurance and
securities program leaders and compliance professionals to attend.
It is our hope that you can help be a part of our evolving content strategy through
social media. Earlier this year we joined LinkedIn and Twitter (@BISATweets) to
more actively share and respond to relevant content surrounding bank insurance
and securities. By engaging with us online and sharing content you find valuable,
all of our members, as well as our industry, will benefit.
Finally, I'd like to thank the leadership advisory steering committee, as well as our
leadership advisory board, for their excellent support and feedback at our June
board meeting. Much of the success of our organization can be attributed to their
time, talent and thoughtful feedback. If you have any additional suggestions on
