Discover these new hotels, plus
others with big renovations.
1 Moxy Atlanta Midtown debuted in January
2019. The 155-room, LEED-certified property
features a variety of eclectic local artwork-which
includes "Welcome Home," a 54-foot mural by
artist Greg Mike. In addition to 300-seat rooftop
High Note, the hotel has six meeting and event
spaces, including a 100-seat lounge and two
meeting rooms that can be combined to hold 100

Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead opened
in December 2018. Formerly the Mandarin
Oriental Atlanta, the 42-story property has 127
rooms and 10 suites. The property also has a
15,000-square-foot spa with a 60-foot indoor pool
that overlooks a garden. For meetings and events,
the hotel has a number of spaces including a
ballroom that holds 250 for receptions; a private
garden that holds 250 for receptions; and multiple

2 AC Hotel Atlanta Midtown, located in
a dual-brand development with Moxy Atlanta
Midtown hotel, opened in January 2019. The
hotel offers 133 rooms and, with Moxy, shares the

Kimpton Overland Hotel Atlanta Airport
opened in January 2019. The hotel is located
adjacent to Porsche Cars North America Atlanta
campus, and just north of Hartsfield-Jackson
Atlanta International Airport. The 214-room
property features Apron, a Mediterranean restau-

rant that seats 102 in a main dining room and
30 on a deck. The property is also home to the
Rooftop at the Overland, an open-air rooftop space
with views of the Porsche Experience Center test
track. Additionally, the hotel has 6,064 square
feet of event space, including a ballroom that
holds 300 for receptions or 400 theater style.

The first Canopy brand in Georgia,
3 Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown opened
in December 2018. The 176-room hotel has a
vibrant interior design helmed by designers
Krause Sawyer and three local commissioned
artists. The hotel's Xhibit Studio Kitchen & Bar,
serves Southern cuisine such as shrimp and grits
and buttermilk pie. For events, the property has a
terrace for casual gatherings plus three meeting
rooms. There's a 12-seat boardroom and two
meeting rooms that can be combined to hold 80

The St. Regis Atlanta completed a propertywide renovation in January 2019. The renovation
includes revamps of the hotel's 151 guest rooms
and the expansion of the St. Regis Bar. Atlas, the
hotel's American-European restaurant, unveiled a
new 3,070-square-foot terrace with 100 seats and
24 bar seats. The hotel also debuted Maisonette, a
three-story venue with meeting and event spaces
that include a gallery and a pavilion, as well as the

Loews Atlanta Hotel finished a $13 million
property-wide renovation. The 26-story property
has 414 guest rooms and 44 suites, and more
than 40,000 square feet of meeting and event
space. Spaces include the Ellington ballroom,
which seats more than 1,000, and a 14th-floor
terrace, which holds 260 for receptions. (1065
