The Kimpton Buckhead boutique hotel is
slated to open in late 2020. In addition to
216 rooms, the hotel will offer a courtyard
dining venue, ground-floor restaurant and
bar, 3,000 square feet of meeting and event
space, plus a pool and rooftop lounge.
Fetch Park & Ice House is expanding
from Old Fourth Ward, with its second location slated to open in Alpharetta in 2020. The
upscale dog park will double as a hot spot
for special events thanks to its Airstream bar
serving up beer, wine, and liquor.
The General Muir is set to open its
doors in Sandy Springs in early 2020,
marking the popular restaurant's second
location. Though smaller than its Emory
Point location, the new 3,116-square-foot
space will offer its signature Jewish deli fare
that's landed the restaurant top superlatives in GQ and Bon Appétit magazines.

InternatIonal affaIrs
French restaurant Aix and its neighboring
wine bar Tin Tin opened in Westside in December
2018. Helmed by Nick Leahy, former executive chef
of Saltyard, the restaurant serves dishes inspired
by the southern French city of Aix-en-Provence.
Aix seats 93 guests in a main dining room, 12 at a
bar, and 10 in a wine room. Tin Tin, which serves
small plates and by-the-glass wines and carafes,
seats 10 people at a bar, 10 at a lounge area
surrounding the bar, and 25 on an indoor-outdoor

1 Lazy Betty, a tasting menu-focused restaurant, opened in the former Radial Cafe space in
Candler Park in February 2019. The restaurant is
helmed by chef Ronald Hsu (featured in Netflix's
The Final Table), his siblings Howard and Anita
Hsu, and chef Aaron Phillips, and specializes in
dishes that meld French and Chinese-Malaysian
influences. Diners have the option of ordering
from two tasting menus and a small a la carte
menu. The restaurant, which is available for
private events in its dining room and lounge, seats

2 Ecco Buckhead, the third outpost of Fifth
Group Restaurants' European concept, opened

Artist and calligrapher Jenny Lemoine of
Smitten Event Invitations (smittenevent
invitations.com) is focusing on creating
beautiful custom maps, each hand painted
with watercolor. She begins with sketches
and color palettes, then creates maps
that highlight important locations for her
clients. These maps can be turned into
prints as well. All of Smitten Invites' custom

1 King & Duke, chef Ford Fry's literary-theme
American restaurant in Buckhead, recently updated
its parlor. Located on the restaurant's mezzanine
level, the parlor seats about 40 guests in an environment that includes leather chairs and floor-toceiling velvet curtains. Other event spaces include
the patio, which holds semiprivate events for 40
guests; the drawing room, which seats 14; and the
cocktail bay, which holds 20 guests for semiprivate

next to Phipps Plaza at the end of 2018. Menu
highlights of the Buckhead location include
the restaurant's signature fried goat cheese, as
well as a variety of pasta dishes and flatbreads.
The 9,500-square-foot restaurant seats 240
guests and offers a private dining room that
seats 60 and a patio that seats 50. Customizable
event menus are available from Fifth Group

The Iberian Pig, a Spanish tapas restaurant,
opened its second location in Buckhead in May
2019. Owned by Castellucci Hospitality Group,
the two-story restaurant offers a menu helmed
by chef John Castellucci and features an interior
designed by Elizabeth Ingram Studio. The
4,500-square-foot venue has a variety of private
dining and event options, including a private
dining room that seats 14; a mezzanine dining
room that holds 100 for receptions; a semiprivate
bar area that holds 40 standing; a patio that holds
40 standing; and a main dining room that seats
50 guests for semiprivate events. Available for full
buyouts, the restaurant can hold 250 guests for

opened on the BeltLine in July 2019. The restaurant serves American fare and features minimalist
interiors with decor that includes panels filled with
plants above the bar and a painting of a polar bear.
The 7,000-square-foot restaurant seats 75 guests
inside and 25 in a semiprivate dining room. The
restaurant also seats 65 guests at a covered and
heated patio and seats 90 on a partially covered
