B.B. Lemon, an American eatery and bar from
Berg Hospitality Group, opened at the end of
2018. The 1,900-square-foot restaurant serves
seafood and American dishes from chef Emily
Trusler and cocktails from beverage director
Monique Cioffi-Hernandez. The restaurant is
split into two dining rooms, seating a total of 76
guests, and also has a patio with garden landscaping. The venue can hold as many as 150 people
reception style for full buyouts. For other private
and semiprivate events, the space holds 80 guests
for receptions on the patio and 20 seated guests

1 True Anomaly Brewing Co. opened in
April 2019 in East Downtown. The brewery
taproom was founded by four former and current
NASA employees, and is named after a celestial
mechanics term. Specializing in sour and wild
beers, the 8,200-square-foot space includes a
2,500-square-foot taproom and a 1,000-squarefoot patio. The space also has a 2,000-square-foot
barrel room, which can hold private events for
as many as 50 guests in a reception setup. The
entire venue holds more than 150 guests. (2012

Jack & Ginger's, an Austin-based Irish pub,
opened its first location in Midtown in November

2018. Owned by Union Venture Group, the pub
serves traditional Irish fare and more than 80
different beers. The 4,500-square-foot space
holds as many as 300 guests standing. For private
events, a patio space holds 100 guests reception

Rooftop bar 77 Degrees opened in Midtown
in March 2019. The venue, which is managed
by Union Venture Group, features four levels
with cabana-style seating, where guests can
enjoy Caribbean-theme cocktails and tapas such
as red snapper ceviche and street tacos. The
12,000-square-foot space, which is available for
private events, holds 125 people reception style
on each level and accommodates 600 guests
total. The venue is located above Union Venture
Group's other concept, Jack & Ginger's. (2416

2 Penny Quarter, a wine bar and café
from restaurateurs Bobby Heugel and Justin
Yu, opened in Montrose in August 2019.
Located in the former Etro nightclub space, the
3,000-square-foot venue has an extensive wine list
and serves standard coffee shop drinks and fare.
The space holds 200 reception style in the entire
venue; the upstairs alone holds 75 for receptions.

Where to Have a Whiskey Tasting
Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, an American restaurant and
whiskey concept in Westheimer Oaks, opened a new private
dining area in spring 2019. The 1,300-square-foot space was
converted from the back half of the venue's dining room, and
seats 72 guests or holds 120 for receptions. The area also has
an additional 700 square feet of private patio space shaded
by oak trees. Private events include a bar, full audiovisual
capabilities, and customizable menus. Bosscat also offers the
existing Whiskey Room, a private dining space that seats 12
guests and features more than 325 whiskeys on the walls.

the Eiffel Tower, Picnics in the City
(facebook.com/picnicsinthecity) takes
traditional picnicking to the next level.
The luxury experience made its Houston
debut in April 2019 and offers customized
tablescapes for both indoor and outdoor
events. Planners can opt for simple setups
with throw pillows, a blanket and table,
and accent decor or more elaborate choices
like balloon garlands, teepees, and natural
flowers. The menu can be tailored to fit
any theme and can accommodate dietary
