rooms and amenities including an outdoor pool

The luxury hotel has 18,000 square feet of meeting
and event space, which includes a 7,646-squarefoot ballroom that seats 950 theater style or holds
1,000 for receptions. Additional spaces include
6,000 square feet of pre-function space, an outdoor
terrace mezzanine, and an outdoor pool terrace

The C. Baldwin Hotel, a Curio Collection by
Hilton property, opened in the financial district
in June 2019. Formerly the DoubleTree by Hilton
Houston, the renovated hotel is named after
Charlotte Baldwin Allen, the "mother of Houston,"

and has 354 rooms. The hotel offers 14,000 square
feet of meeting and event space, which can accommodate groups of 10 to 650 people. The hotel also
serves Italian fare from Rosalie Italian Soul. (400

AC Hotel by Marriott Houston Downtown
opened in July 2019. The 10-story property has 195
rooms and an AC-branded restaurant that serves
European inspired fare and a lounge that serves
cocktails and tapas. For events, the property has a
3,670-square-foot ballroom that seats as many as

Cambria Hotel Houston Downtown
Convention Center, the first Cambria property in
Houston, opened in August 2019. The 21-story,
226-room hotel is located in the Great Southwest
Building. The hotel's 20th and 21st floors have
meeting and event space that can accommodate

Residence Inn Houston Medical Center/NRG
Park opened in February 2019. The 16-floor hotel
has 182 rooms and 4,028 square feet of event

space. There are four meeting rooms, with theaterstyle seating capacity ranging from 65 to 100

When in Rome
Look to these Italian restaurants when a Tuscan resort isn't an option.

The team behind Spaghetti Warehouse-which
closed following Hurricane Harvey in 2017-
opened spinoff restaurant Warehouse 72 in August
2019. Located at the Marq-E Entertainment Center,
the restaurant serves pasta and pizza in an industrial setting that features street art by Sebastien
"Mr. D 1987" Boileau. Spanning more than 8,000
square feet, the venue seats 84 in a main dining
room and 60 in a private dining room; for buyouts
it seats 200 or holds 400 for receptions. (7620

Kimpton Houston is slated to open in late 2022, marking Kimpton
Hotels & Restaurants' first location in the city. The new development will boast 204 guest rooms, a restaurant and café, as well as
more than 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
From chef Mike Lim of Tobiuo fame, Kanau Sushi, will open in
early 2020. The 2,000-square-foot restaurant offers a sleek design
on top of Lim's signature theatrical elements, including breaking
down a 300-pound tuna in front of diners for a memorable multicourse meal.
The Rustic, Texas's growing restaurant and music concept, will
cut the ribbon on its second Houston location-a 27,000-squarefoot space-in early 2020.
Margaritaville Resort, Lake Conroe-Houston is slated to open in
late 2020, offering photo-worthy ocean views, 45,000 square feet of
indoor/outdoor event space, and 360 guest rooms.

opened in Montrose in August 2019. The interior
is inspired by 1960s Italy, but features cacti and
succulents that reference its Texas home. The
80-seat eatery offers a menu with wood-fired

Last August, Braeswood
Farmers' Market debuted in
Meyerland, bringing together
local produce farmers,
prepared food purveyors,
artisan bakers, and other
vendors. The market is
open on weekends, and the
Braeswood Food Truck Park

which operates daily and
features a rotating lineup of
six food trucks, debuted in
