LETTER FROM SISTER
On a hot, sunny June 14th, 2018, the doors

of Aquinas. What a blessing! We remain

of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School

grateful to all of you who continue to support

closed on its 40 year of educating students

the mission of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional

in fides et ratio. Hopefully, as the students

School. Thanks to your prayers and financial

th

look back on the year, they recognize all that
they have learned and the ways in which
they have grown. Even more important than
the acquisition of academic knowledge,
however, is the human formation that has
taken place: learning perseverance in the face
of a setback, asking for forgiveness when
someone has been hurt, working hard to
achieve a goal, learning a difficult lesson from
a poor choice made, accepting one's own
imperfection and human frailty with humility
and trust, growing in virtue and relationship
with the Lord. If the students have learned
these lessons, they can truly be proud of

of a Catholic
education-it is a
formation for life, both
this life and the next."

their accomplishments this year and we,
their educators and formators, can say that
we have accomplished what we have set
out to do. This is the difference of a Catholic
education-it is a formation for life, both this
life and the next.
We enjoyed such wonderful celebrations
this year to recognize all that the Lord has

contributions, we are able to evangelize the
next generation and to help our students
to become the saints that God is calling
them to be. Through academic, athletic, and
extracurricular opportunities, our students
have grown in virtue and wisdom. As you
flip through the pages of this edition of the
Crusader, I hope that you will be able to catch
a glimpse of this formation that is taking place
and the joy in the faces of our students as
they grow in holiness.
May our gracious Lord continue to bless the
work of the faculty and staff of St. Thomas
Aquinas Regional School, so that it may
continue to spread the light of the Gospel
in the decades ahead and bring hope to
children and their families through a Catholic
education. May He reward each of our friends
and benefactors for your goodness to His
children. In all things, may God be praised!
With grateful prayers, in Christ,

accomplished through Aquinas in its 40
year history. These celebrations afforded
us the opportunity to reconnect with many
alumni, former faculty and staff, and friends
