class of 2020!
We applaud each of our 8th grade
graduates for all they have accomplished
and for their perseverance in a time like
no other.

ALUMNI HIGHLIGHTS
AQUINAS ALUM IS JP VALEDICTORIAN

Benjamin Raffier was named Valedictorian for
the Saint John Paul the Great Class of 2020
for having the highest GPA in the Senior class.
During his time at John Paul, Ben took 11
AP courses and earned the AP Scholar with
Distinction award. He was also selected as a
National Merit Finalist. He was a member of the
cross country team for four years and led the
varsity swim team as a captain. He served as
secretary and president of the National Science
Honor Society, as well as tutored for the National
Neil Devin and Mark Peterson are both Aquinas
Alumni and both serve as volunteer firefighters.
Neil serves in Prince William County while Mark

Next year, he plans to attend University of
Virginia to study biomedical engineering.

serves in Fairfax County. Besides being volunteer
firefighters, both of these young men are headed
to the military; Neil to the Air Force to serve as
an Air Force firefighter and Mark to the Marine
Corps. They visited our kindergarten class to talk
to students about fire safety.
