LETTER FROM SISTER
+
Dear Parents, Faculty, and Spiritual Family of Aquinas,
It was a blessing to be with you the past four years! Together we saw the development of the Aquinas
Constitution, navigated the experience of COVID, and surpassed " back to normal " with " better than
before " -adding a revitalized PTO, expansions in equipment for technology and science, an atrium
for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, and many great new teachers. I am so grateful to God and to
you for my time at Aquinas. I am excited to present your new principal with a strong school and to
present Aquinas with a capable and loving new principal. You will be in my prayers as I go to serve as a
missionary in Ireland!

Dear Parents, Faculty, and Spiritual Family of Aquinas,
I have heard so many good things about Aquinas and I look forward to beginning the new school
year with you! After serving the past 10 years in Vancouver, Canada it is a blessing to be back in the
United States. I am especially grateful to serve in a community so deeply rooted in the faith and so
internationally diverse. Together I know we will glorify God by fostering the development of all our
students' talents and their close relationship with the Lord. Please pray for me and know of my prayers
for you as we embark upon a great new year!
In Jesus, Mary, and Saint Dominic,
Sister Mary Sabina, O.P.
GODHEAD HERE IN HIDING/ADORO TE DEVOTE
Our Theme Song for 2022-2023 | Written by St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274)
1 Godhead here in hiding,
whom I do adore,
Masked by these bare
shadows, shape and
nothing more,
See, Lord, at Thy service low
lies here a heart
Lost, all lost in wonder at
the God Thou art.
2 Seeing, touching,
tasting are in Thee deceived:
How says trusty hearing?
That shall be believed;
What God's Son has told me,
take for truth I do;
Truth Himself speaks truly or
there's nothing true.
3 On the cross Thy
Godhead made no sign
to men,
Here Thy very manhood
steals from human ken:
Both are my confession,
both are my belief,
And I pray the same prayer
as the dying thief.
4 I am not like Thomas,
wounds I cannot see,
But can plainly call Thee
Lord and God as he;
This faith each day deeper
be my holding of,
Daily make me harder hope
and dearer love.
5 O Thou our reminder of
Christ crucified,
Living Bread the life of us for
whom He died.
Lend this life to me then:
feed and feast my mind,
There be Thou the
sweetness man was meant
to find.
6 Bring the tender tale
true of the Pelican;
Bathe me, Jesus Lord, in
what Thy bosom ran
Blood that but one drop of
has the world to win
All the world forgiveness of
its world of sin.
7 Jesus, Whom I look at
shrouded here below,
I beseech Thee send me
what I thirst for so,
Some day to gaze on Thee
face to face in light
And be blest forever with
Thy glory's sight.
