The Highlights: The 13 guestrooms and 19
suites are designed following a traditional
Palm Beach vernacular reworked and updated
in a laidback, textural, easy style. Featuring
museum-quality original artworks with an
international, contemporary point of view that
reflects the ethos of the hotel's well-traveled
guests, the White Elephant provides them with
a uniquely personal journey.
Suites are designed for both short- and
long-term stays with lots of storage and a
living room sofa bed. Some are big enough
for a family working remotely, including the
Park suite with a living room, three bedrooms,
a dining area, a full cooking kitchen, and
enormous outdoor terrace.

" All the guestroom furniture and materials were custom-designed, " says Elizabeth Lowrey,
principal and director of interior architecture at Elkus Manfredi Architects, " from the pattern
detail on the headboard edge to how the headboard dips in the middle so that ergonomically the
guest has enough height to lean into while reading. "

The Highlights: The Ace suite is designed
to evoke a happy marriage of Japanese
and Western styles. Highly functional,
suites are designed with a king bed or
two double beds, a separate dining space,
a bar and living area, a double vanity,
and room to move. Filled with furniture
influenced by French designer Charlotte
Perriand's work while she was living in
Japan during WWII, guestroom fabrics
were also developed in collaboration with
Akira Minagawa and his textile company
Mina Perhonen exclusively for Ace.

The Highlights: Kunming, also known as " the
spring city, " abounds in cultural resources.
Here, each suite is an independent villa with
the same layout as a local residential yard, and
all come complete with a patio surrounded
with sloping roofs and a hot spring pool for a
distinct sense of luxury. Interiors are inspired
by the original architecture of local dwellings
presented in a modern way, harmonious with
the lobby design. Materials and furniture
intentionally highlight the local Chinese style,
while providing optimal comfort and perfectly
embodying the design theme, " Impression
of Kunming. "
