The company was founded in Germany back in 1919 by the Behringer family. For many years, the company built and sold agricultural equipment to area farmers. In 1945, the family added saws to the company’s product offering – a decision that would forever change the business. Behringer’s saw received immediate praise. Eventually, the family owned operation ceased production of its agricultural products to focus exclusively on sawing equipment. In 1988, Behringer extended its reach to the United States and estab118 WINTER 2011 lished Behringer Saws Inc. The company set to work creating a dedicated customer base. In little more than two decades, Behringer Saws was able to wow the North American market with its special blend of quality products and customer satisfaction. Behringer Saws has spent the past 65 years honing its skills as a saw manufacturer. The company’s product offering includes high-performance band sawing machines and circular cold saws. The saws are widely used in steel production, steel service centers and OEM applications.
