The Cutting Edge with a focus on customers and quality, behringer saws excels in a tough market. by lori sichtermann Behringer today is quite different compared to what it was nearly a century ago. The company was founded in Germany back in 1919 by the Behringer family. For many years, the company built and sold agricultural equipment to area farmers. In 1945, the family added saws to the company’s product offering – a decision that would forever change the business. Behringer’s saw received immediate praise. In little more than two decades, Behringer Saws was able to wow the North American market with its special blend of quality products and customer satisfaction. Behringer Saws has spent the past 65 years honing its skills as a saw manufacturer. The company’s product offering includes high-performance band sawing machines and circular cold saws. The saws are widely used in steel production, steel service centers and OEM applications. What’s more, it manufactures sawing equipment that can saw all grades of steel up to 80 inches in diameter. “Behringer is a market leader in the development of band sawing equipment for utilization in the steel industry,” President Rick Klipp says. “Although fit for all steel sawing applications, Behringer products excel when used in either high-production, tight tolerance and/or difficult sawing applications.” Behringer Saws found its place on the proverbial map because of its ability to manufacture sawing systems to any customer’s specifications. “Behringer prides itself on being a solutions provider and for working closely with the end user to help improve their current sawing production,” Klipp notes. “Because sawing is all we do, we have a level of expertise that is widely recognized and respected in the field.” The field of which Klipp speaks has become more competitive.
