ROUNDS LEAD THE WAY Shake things up Drive organizational change from the bottom up. IT'S EASY TO GET swept up in overthinking every opportunity and strategy. But sometimes it's best to just hit the ground running and get things done. So, where do you start? "Create an environment where people feel safe and excited to bring up ideas, and no idea is a bad one," says John Brownstein, Ph.D., chief innovation officer at Boston Children's Hospital. "If you create an environment that is top-down, you're not going to change an organization as dramatically as if you really listen to how people work and where the natural transformation can occur. Everyone should know it's okay to disrupt." Share a leadership tip or lesson learned. Email magazine @childrenshospitals.org. 4 CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL S TODAY Fall 2017
