At your dog’s point of commitment to #2, rotate to the right to cue the turn from #2 to #3. Rotate back again once your dog is committed to #3 to cue the turn to #4. Send your dog to the weave poles so you can get ahead to do a front cross between #4 and #5. Turn toward #6 as you send to the tunnel. Do a front cross while your dog is in the tunnel and start moving to the takeoff side of #8, supporting #7 along the way. Do a front cross on the takeoff side of #8, wrapping your dog to the right, and finish up with your dog on your left for #8, #9, and #10. Figure 7 Lead out close to jump #2 with the dog on your right. Can your dog find the weave pole entry on his own? With your dog on your right for #3 through #7, send to the takeoff side of #7 and do a front cross between #7 and #8. Were you able to get your dog to wrap tightly around the stanchion of #7 or did your dog misunderstand your cue and want to detour to the weave poles or tunnel? Watch your positioning to make sure your cues were clear. Figure 8 Lead out to #3 with your dog on your left. It’s a straight line and your dog should find it easily even though he is taking the jumps at an angle. Cue your dog to turn to the tunnel and then do a front cross between #4 and #5. Send your dog into the #5 weave poles and start moving to get into position to do a 4 10 3 7 2 10 4 8 1 5 7 11 2 6 110 front cross between #6 and #7. Can you leave your dog in the weave poles to finish the poles on his own? Hope so! After your front cross between #6 and #7, turn and try to beat your dog to #8. The run isn’t finished until the dog is over the last jump. Don’t let up! Figure 9 Start with your dog on your right. He will remain on your right through #6. The line from #5 to #6 is a little tricky. Don’t get caught behind your dog; be there to support #6. Between #5 and #6 decelerate and send your dog forward doing a front cross between #6 and #7. With your dog on your left, take off and send your dog to the #8 tunnel. As your dog heads for the tunnel, slide over to the landing side of #9 to push through to #10, finishing up with your dog on your left for jumps #10 and #11. Figure 10 Start with a lead-out pivot between #1 and #2; #2 through #6 are on your left. Do a front cross between #6 and #7. With your dog now on your right for #7 and #8, support the takeoff side of #8. Going too deep to #8 may put you in an awkward spot to support #9, so be careful. At the end of the weave poles, keep your dog on your right for #10, do a rear cross at #11, and finish up with #12 on your left.
