titles, and was well on her way to
earning her first PACH. And so, the
AGCH journey began!"
On Oct. 22, 2017, Ellie, at age 9, finished the AGCH title, becoming the
first mixed breed and the twentysecond dog of all breeds to reach the
milestone. "To me, it's all about having a lifetime of fun with your canine
partner and making memories that
will live on long after your fur-kid is
gone," Greer said.

was found at a horse barn as a pup.
The people who found him had a
business next to Boggs' husband's
shop. "They started bringing him to
work every day because he was a
puppy and needed to be let out and

cared for frequently," she said. "My
husband met him, fell in love, and
brought him home. Needless to say,
we are so grateful to all the people
who help out animals in need."
Boggs was already involved in agility with rescue dogs. She had shown
two terrier mixes in USDAA and
NADAC and was competing with her
rescue American Staffordshire Terrier,
Buster Brown, who came into AKC
through the Purebred Alternative
Listing (PAL) program. "When I first
started showing Speedy in AKC
Agility events, I did get some questions as to what his breed was and

the ability to show mixed breeds. I
don't recall any negative responses, and as time has passed, I think it
has become commonplace to see
both purebred, mixed, and even rare
breeds. People in agility are into performance dogs, so it is more a topic
of interest than concern."
Speedy also has earned the AGCH
and qualified for numerous AKC
Agility Invitationals as one of the
top five mixed breeds. This year, he
made the finals of the 20-inch class
and placed seventh. "I am very proud
of Speedy's accomplishments. More
than anything, I am proud that this
dog can go anywhere, be in any
group of people or dogs, take any
of life's challenges, and does so with
the attitude 'Hey, I got this!"
