Common Errors also shows the dog on which part of the bar to focus his jumping effort. Some of the common errors handlers make when doing the reverse wrap are as follows: * Too far away from the wing: Often the handler is not very close to the inside wing. This can cue the dog to a wider landing spot and often does not result in the amount of collection needed. * Hands too high: Often when pushing from the backside, the handler blends her arms above the wing. The dog cannot see the hand cues so they are ineffective in cueing the level of collection and commitment needed. The handler should push to the backside of the jump with a low hand and then stick her hand through the uprights to show the dog the jump. This * Leaving too early: the handler should wait until the dog sees the jump before leaving. If the dog does not have the commitment to the jump, he may earn a refusal. 7 * Leaving too late: The handler should leave as soon as the dog sees the jump. If the handler is still standing there as the dog is jumping, she is in the dog's way and he may knock the bar or go wide around her.
