I believe in what I do and am very passionate
about it. I have had ongoing success for many years
with a variety of dogs so I believe there is no reason
to fix anything that isn't broken.

there. When I wanted to learn more, I
started attending other training clinics
and seminars. I then started taking lessons
with Malcom Bassett, who soon after that
asked me to come and train with him."
And so Anthony was sort of recruited-
at the age of seven!
"I really didn't care that there were no
other kids training there. Everyone got
on well with me and saw me as the cute
little kid running around with a Jack Russell Terrier. I was so determined to do
well. If they asked me to run their dogs,
I would do that, too, and do it well." It
was the perfect activity for a young boy
who was very active, and enjoyed working with dogs.
Eventually, Anthony moved to a more
serious agility club and began taking
the occasional private lessons with Greg
Derrett. When he was 11 or 12, people
started asking him for help, and so began
his professional teaching career. "My
parents had bought me all of the equipment, so I helped people with the drills
we had done in class. I have always been
relatively confident and outgoing, so I
never had an issue about doing anything
in front of people or whatever. I just
went with the flow and did it!"
A Professional Trainer
Anthony is now a full-time, professional
trainer. He teaches classes nearly every
day in his own facility. "The hours I put
in are crazy." The day starts at 7:30 or
8:00 a.m. and he teaches until 5:00 p.m.
Then it is on the road to another club
where he teaches three days a week.
Home by 10:30 p.m., he will often do his
online lessons and event management
work until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m.
A follower of the Greg Derrett handling
system, Anthony believes that what sets
him apart from other top competitors is
his self-critical nature, paired with a sincere faith in what he does. "I believe in
what I do and am very passionate about
it. I have had ongoing success for many
