Tunnels and Threadles anddrills Weaves, Oh My! By Nancy Gyes Some of my inspiration for drill setups comes from a larger course idea that my husband or I had for our classes, and one portion of it seemed like the perfect drill setup. Other ideas come from me needing to work on something specific with my dogs so I created an exercise to train it. Sometimes I steal bits and pieces from a larger international course that was really interesting. 10 1 20 30 I put this month's drill together just noodling around in Clean Run Course Designer. That happens a lot. Sometimes I run to the field and set up the drill to test the lines and the handling options, and sometimes I just know the sequences will work without testing them. That is what happened this month. But this setup looks like so much fun that I will set it up next week for my own dogs. 40 50 P.S. Don't forget to reward your weaves-often! There are also lots of front crosses and some tunnel pulls and sends. 7 60 5 8 3 2 50 3 40 40 7 30 2 6 5 1 20 10 8 9 30 20 The setup with a "round the block" exercise to warm up. There's only one side change, a front cross from #6 to #7. 10 20 30 40 9 1 4 10 Front cross side change on this one from #3 to #4. 50 This drill fits easily in a 55ft. by 55ft. space, but if you have room I would spread it out a bit and let your dog really run and hit those entries at speed. 18 Clean Run | July 18
