Easy Lattice Wing Jump By Pamela McElrath, photos courtesy of author This DIY wing jump is the perfect solution for those who are starting to train at home or those looking to add some wing jumps to their existing equipment. These jumps are fairly quick and inexpensive to build and will make a great addition to your training program. The only materials you won't be able to find at your local home improvement store will be the 4-way tees and Clip and Go Jump Cup Strips, both of which can be found in Clean Run's store. Materials Needed * 3 - 10 foot pieces of 1" schedule 40 PVC pipe * Saw capable of cutting PVC pipe and lattice (PVC cutters will work for cutting the pipe, but not for cutting the lattice) * Safety equipment (eye protection, ear protection, etc) * 4 - 1" PVC elbows * Sandpaper or file for removing rough edges of PVC lattice * 4 - 1" PVC 4-way tees Instructions * 8 - 1" PVC caps * 1 - 2' x 8' sheet of PVC lattice * 30 - #8 x 5/8" or #8 x 1" self-drilling pan-head Phillips screws * 1 - Pair of Clip and Go Jump Cup Strips * Optional: If you need jump bars, buy an additional piece of PVC pipe to make them and vinyl tape to decorate them. * Optional: PVC primer and glue if you want to glue your jump wings together. 1. Measure and cut one 10' PVC pipe into 8 pieces that are 9" long. Then from each of the remaining 10' pipes cut 2 pieces that are 21" long and 2 pieces that are 36" long. When you're finished will have the following pieces: 9 - 8" pieces 4 - 21" pieces 4 - 36" inches Making sure the pieces are the same length will help guarantee your rectangle frame is a rectangle. * Optional: Sand if you want to weight the bases of the wings.
