I found my judge's path for this course to be reasonable. I
was able to move through the middle of the course without
getting in the way of teams. If, however, I was designing this
course today, I would likely make a few modifications. I would
increase the spacing between obstacles to at least 18ft., use
only wing jumps, and avoid having all of the contact obstacles
on the edge of the course with the handler partially obscuring
my view.

Overall this course proved to be quite challenging with only 5
out of 39 dogs qualifying. The addition of a few more obstacles
and one or two minor challenges would likely qualify it for an
AAC Challenge course.
This trial began with a moment of silence in honor of everyone
affected by the Humboldt Broncos hockey team bus tragedy
that occurred one week earlier, just a few hours northeast of
Moose Jaw. It reminded us all of how fortunate we are to play
this fantastic sport with our wonderful dogs. D
