Agility Organization Compiled by Brenna Fender Agility Association of Canada By John Willis After a very successful and well-run Nationals in Burnaby, British Columbia this past August and with fall trials completed, the main agility season in Canada is winding down or finished for most competitors. A few indoor sites offer an opportunity to get some competitive runs in but many Canadian handlers take the winter off from trialing and just get in some training or work on specific issues. Planning is ongoing for next year's Regional events as well as the Nationals for 2007 and beyond. Experienced groups have already submitted applications to hold the two largest Regionals, Ontario and British Columbia. Please do all you can to help at your Regional or at the Nationals. More volunteers are always needed and you will be very much appreciated. Applicants for the new director position are being evaluated and someone will have been hired by the time you read this. We had a decent number of applicants so we should have a skilled person who will be able to help the AAC with many administrative tasks. The Association's executive board also will have had a chance to meet to discuss the issues that have arisen over the year, and we hope to present resolutions or proposals for most early in the new year. The board hopes you all have a happy holiday season and wishes you all the best on and off the field in 2007.http://www.akc.org/events/agility/world/2006 http://www.akc.org/events/agility/world/2006
