What can you do differently if you really see a problem and want change?
You can start by talking to the judge.
I think every post like this should
include a statement like "I spoke to
the judge about my concern, and
this was their response." When you
speak to the judge, be sure to state
your concern and explain why you
are concerned and be prepared to
offer a solution. Your point of view
may be different from the judge's,
so it's important to help them understand your perspective and for you
to understand theirs in return. Listen carefully to their response; there
may be constraints that are dictated

by the regulations of the sanctioning organization that the judge may
have to take into account. There may
be a problem like the ring dimensions were incorrectly conveyed to
the judge, and the judge is doing her
best to work with the issue.
If you are still dissatisfied, take the
time to write the sanctioning organization and explain your concern.
Many exhibitor concerns are actually the result of the course design
guidelines or other regulations and
not within the power of the individual
judge to change. And remember, all
of the different organizations have
different course design guidelines

and requirements and regulations.
If you prefer the style of courses offered by Organization A, then it is
hardly fair to blast a judge's course
designs on Facebook when you
were at a trial sanctioned by Organization B. If you think Organization
B would be improved by courses in
the style of Organization A then write
the sanctioning organization your
thoughts.
Finally, please consider as a guideline, if you wouldn't say it in person,
or didn't say it in person, then don't
say it on Facebook. Judges are human, treat them the way you would
want to be treated. D
