On his first day on a dealership sales floor, Todd Hill sold three
vehicles. He says he fell in love with the adrenaline of selling cars
and especially the customers' happy faces. After gaining sales and
management experience at several dealerships, Hill created TriState Auto Group with his brother, Russell. Today the company
runs two new-car stores and one pre-owned dealership. Hill has
served in a variety of positions with the Missouri Automobile
Dealers Association. He estimates that his dealership has helped
raise more than $120,000 for schools and community groups
through Ford test-drive events. Hill also supports programs for
students interested in agriculture careers.

Harry Larson began his auto industry career as a lube technician
in his hometown of Louisville, Ky. After college and a stint in the
U.S. Army, he returned to the dealership world. In 1981, Larson
became service director at Beardmore Chevrolet in Bellevue, Neb.
The dealership's owner, Maurice Beardmore, helped Larson start
his own dealership in 1985. Larson has served as district director of
the Nebraska New Car & Truck Dealers Association for more than
20 years and was a member of the Ford Dealers Advertising Fund
Midwest group. Committed to his community, Larson is on the
board of the Nebraska City Area Economic Development Corp.
and the local dock board.

Michael Keppel, who grew up in Michigan, says he knew he was a
car guy at an early age when he was thrilled by the sight, sound
and smell of a 1930s Ford hot rod. After moving to Hawaii, Keppel
was selling cars out of his driveway in 1979 when a friend told him
about a sales position at a dealership. Since then, Keppel says,
he has sold everything from Hondas to DeLoreans and managed
six dealership groups. In 2010 he opened his own store, Acura of
Maui. Over the years, Keppel has supported many local groups
and organizations, including youth sports teams and high school
events.

North Country Motor Sales was founded by Michael Kopp's
grandfather in 1959. Today Kopp and his brother are partners
in the family business, which also includes a collision center
and used-car dealership. Kopp served seven years on the New
Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association board and was chair
in 2017-18. He has been a member of the Lancaster Volunteer
Fire Department for more than 20 years and currently is assistant
chief. He is a board or advisory board member for a number
of organizations, including the North Country Public Safety
Foundation, White Mountains Regional High School, Hugh J.
Gallen Career & Technical Center and Manchester Community
College.

After a three-year tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force, Marvin McCord
helped his father open a used-car lot in Sacramento, Calif.
For McCord, it was the beginning of more than 60 years-and
counting-in the auto business. After closing the used-car lot when
his father fell ill, McCord worked for several dealerships in sales, F&I
and management before receiving an opportunity to buy his own
dealership in 1977. Five year later, McCord opened his Toyota store,
which has received the automaker's President's Award three times.
He has served on the Washington State Auto Dealers Association
board and is a longtime supporter of the Pink Lemonade Project,
PAL Vancouver and West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.

During college, Mike Molstead started working at a dealership,
detailing cars and doing light maintenance. After graduation, he
became a salesperson and general sales manager until, in 1995,
he had the chance to open his own dealership. Today, three of
his sons and a daughter-in-law also work in the family business.
Despite battling lung cancer for the past 19 years, Molstead has
volunteered as an assistant football and basketball coach at the
Charles City middle and high schools. His support was critical in
building a new gymnasium at the middle school. He also donates
to Charles City organizations including the Lions Club, Chamber
of Commerce and the local development corporation.
