FIXED OPS JOURNAL FIXED IN TIME Mid-1920s Miller Ford-Lincoln, in the Philadelphia suburb of Lumberton, N.J., began in 1912 as a garage that company officials say initially "fixed more horse-drawn buggies than we did cars." It also repaired Fordson tractors made by Ford Motor Co. A few years after this photograph of the Ford store's parts counter was taken, Chick Miller joined the dealership as service manager; in 1944, he became dealer principal. The dealership, now operated by the third generation of the Miller family, is the foundation of a diversified transportation company that has added a Lincoln franchise, owns a nearby Subaru dealership and provides truck and auto leasing and fleet management.
