We asked fixed ops managers: How is your shop preparing
to work on large numbers of electric and autonomous vehicles?
"We are taking a cautious approach before investing
heavily in capital. The manufacturer sends us required
tools and charging equipment for electric and
autonomous vehicles. We train
our technicians and advisers.
However, our customer base
does not seem to be clamoring
for these vehicles here versus
states located on the coast."

are factory-certified in new
technologies, hybrid systems and
electric systems. Keeping my
technicians and advisers up to date on
new bulletins each week has been
crucial to understanding the way new
technologies are designed to work, so
that we can educate our customers,
diagnose concerns accurately and
repair problems correctly."

technical training and purchased all the necessary
tools and equipment for the shop. We ensured we
have the correct lifts to accommodate the removal
