K2019 - MACHINERY

➡ Continued from page 31

at

The company has five new offerings, including two updated machines in the El-Exis SP high-speed
hybrid series for packaging that consume up to 20% less energy than
their predecessors, thanks to a new
control valve that regulates hydraulic
pressure during loading of the accumulator. These machines have injection speeds of up to 1000 mm/sec.
One of the two presses will run a
72-cavity mould to produce 130,000
water-bottle caps per hour.
The company is also introducing
the IntElect 500: a larger model in
the IntElect all-electric series offering a larger tiebar spacing, mould
height and opening stroke that presents a less energy-intensive alternative for automotive applications
that would previously have required
a larger tonnage.
Also new: the IntElect S 180-tonne,
specifically designed for the production of medical plastic components.
The mould area layout of the energy-efficient GMP-compliant machine
ensures contaminant-free, particle-free and lubricant-free production. The machine also has a longer
lifespan, boosting Total Cost of Ownership for medical moulders.
A new eMultiPlug line of auxiliary
injection units for converting standard machines to multicomponent
moulding will also be launched. The
eMultiPlug uses the same drive as the
IntElect machine and can be retrofitted to an existing machine.
Pride of place at the stand of NEGRI BOSSI (Hall 15, b22): the all new
Nova s600T. Completing the Nova sT
range, the new machine is available
from 600 to 1300 tonnes and features a unique toggle system that offers increased strokes, tie bar distances and platen speeds in a very
compact footprint. The machine features a traditional toggle system yet
has a footprint close to that of a

two-platen machine, according to NB
and is equipped with the latest generation servo-hydraulic system, for maximum performance and energy efficiency.
The machine also features a Motus
controller with a "revolutionary virtual object system for axis movement".
At the show, the machine will be
making a folding crate with a Sytrama
robot extracting parts and sending
them to an assembly station.
The company will also be showcasing two electric machines from its
Nova eT range as well as a 330 tonne
servo-hydraulic machine. Ranging
from 50 to 350 tonnes, the machines
in the Nova eT range are aimed at the
packaging, closure, medical and optical moulding sectors and are claimed
to be precise, efficient and fast. A
Nova e130T fitted with a 40 mm barrier screw and a mould made by Barcelona-based Molmasa will be producing roll-on deodorant packaging.
Another machine at the NB booth will
produce a broom brush from foamed
wood-plastic compound using the
company's FMC (Foam Microcellular
Moulding) process. NB's FMC technology uses nitrogen as the foaming
agent to produce microcellular
foamed material for lightweight applications and is available both for
thermoplastics and liquid silicone rubber (LSR). The machine is also

equipped with a brush making machine (Borghi).
WINDSOR /FCS GROUP (Hall 12,
stand B11): K2019 will see the European debut of the new servo-hydraulic FA-160 toggle injection moulding
machine from Fu Chun Shin Group,
Taiwan (FCS) with 1600 kN clamping
force. Windsor has been a partner to
FCS since 2016.
IoT and Industry 4.0 ready, the
new FA system from FCS, equipped
with a robot system from Wemo, will
be shown moulding polypropylene
snack boxes weighing 82 grams. This
FA successor to the SD series offers
newly developed high-performance
screw cylinders, a special linear guide
for the injection unit and an effective
servo injection system operating in a
closed control loop. With an optimised fixed and moving platen design
to assure the service life of the
moulds, the clamping force acts optimally through the centre of the platen. In order to offer more flexibility
for the use of special moulds, the distances between the tie bars have
been increased. A fully electric CT-e
300 injection moulding machine with
a 4 + 4 stack mould for an IML application (in-mould labelling) will also be
in operation at the FCS stand.
Windsor will also be showing the
PlugXPress series: a Plug & Play supplementary injection unit that can be
connected to any IMM.
FANUC (Hall 4, A 60) is premiering the Roboshot a-S150iA Medical
Package with Class 7 cleanroom approval, achieved through design features such as tie-bars without bearing
bushes, Cr-coated linear guides,
NI-coated plates, specially approved
lubricants and an unpainted, brushed
stainless steel cover. Equipped with
efficient energy recovery control
function, reliable torque plasticise
control - Precise Metering Control
(PMC) 2&3 - as well as backflow
monitor and highly efficient AI mould
/ ejector protection, needle caps
made of PP will be moulded in the
32-cavity mould at the company's
stand.
The company will also introduce
