Macfarlane celebrates
company landmark
Glasgow, Scotland - Packaging specialist Macfarlane
Group has celebrated its 70th
anniversary.
Founded in 1949 by Norman Macfarlane, the company
has grown to offer more than
50,000 different product lines
across the protective packaging and labelling categories.
The company specialises in
designing and manufacturing
bespoke protective packaging
for industrial customers producing high-value, fragile and
sensitive goods. These packaging solutions help to cut
costly damages and improve

operational efficiency.
Speaking about the anniversary, Peter Atkinson, chief
executive, said: "The commitment and diligence of our people have been critical to our
success and we look forward
to many more years of helping
our customers to find the best
products and services for their
businesses."
With 2018 marking nine
consecutive years of growth,
the company now encompass
more than 30 sites and nearly
900 employees. Celebrations
to mark the anniversary were
held at all Macfarlane locations.

Merritt completes international
machine move
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - Joseph Merritt Group
has completed the relocation
of four Engel injection moulding machines for Polypipe
Civils, manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems.
The heavy machinery moving and storage specialist
shipped the machines from
Jebel Ali, Dubai, to their new
home in Horncastle, Lincolnshire.
The project was executed
over six weeks. The first three
weeks involved decommissioning, packing and transport
in Dubai. The further three
weeks covered shipping to Felixstowe before final delivery.
