CR-14iA/L
is part of
the FANUC
cobot range

FANUC has introduced the CR-14iA/L, a medium-sized, six-axis collaborative robot (cobot).
As the name suggests, the new model is capable of moving items of up to 14kg. The robot
has a reach of 911mm, based on a footprint measuring 296.5 x 235mm.
The CR-14iA/L has a series of sensors to support 'touch to stop' functionality. The robot
is set up to stop at a maximum pressure of 150Nm, although this can be reduced by the
user. Positioning repeatability is +/- 0.01mm, while maximum travel speed is 500mm/sec.
Andy Armstrong, sales and marketing manager at Coventry-based FANUC UK, said: "The
CR-14iA/L has a comparatively long reach. This means that it can be used in limited spaces
and for heavier payloads, such as loading and unloading machines."

Heavy-lift robotic solution from Wittmann

The Wittmann range of heavy-lift robotics has been extended with
the addition of the WX193. Capable of lifting parts up to 150kg,
the robot is suitable for integration with moulding machines with a
clamping force of 4,000 tonnes or more.
The WX193 offers a flexible, modular design which supports a
number of different lengths for its main linear axes.
Control is delivered via the CNC9 system and R9 TeachBox,
which offers improved machine visualisation possibilities on a
10.1" screen (1,280 x 800 pixel resolution) with touch functionality. TextEditor, QuickEdit and QuickNew Wizard remain to support
backwards compatibility.

a standard maximum
capacity of 150kg

Roemheld introduces non-hydraulic die clamps

The Roemheld
4652 die clamping system

Roemheld UK has released a new, self-locking wedge clamp to secure injection moulding machine dies without the need for a permanent hydraulic
supply.
Designed for use with tooling which has straight edges, the unit applies
spring force for retention and up to 160 bar of pressure for release. Inclined
at six degrees, the clamping bolt approaches the die edge from the side,
resulting in a self-locking connection.
The wedge clamps are specially coated to resist rusting and can withstand temperatures up to 160°C. Tolerance for the edge clamping height
is +/- 0.5mm, with spacers used to compensate for deviations. All elements
comply with Euromap directives.

Injection moulding machines offered with 'Haitian by Sepro' automation
Plastics processors in the UK can now select injection moulding machines from Haitian
and Zhafir which feature prepackaged 'Haitian by Sepro' robots. Premier Moulding
Machinery (PMM), based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, will act as UK distributor.
All robots will have a user interface based on Sepro's Visual control platform, which
is fully accessible from the IMM operator interface. Robot control is integrated with
machine control, supporting access to all basic settings and robot data directly on the
IMM control panel in Open Integration.
The PMM team will manage robot servicing following training by Sepro.

'Haitian by Sepro' will
feature a series of
robot choices, including
