Chi Zhang
The KraussMaff ei Group recently
announced a number of
senior management changes.
The chairman of the supervisory
board, Chi Zhang, has now
been appointed as the new
CEO, eff ective 10 January 2024.
The previous CEO, Yong Li,
Erik Ripple
will step into the newly created
position of chief administrative
off icer. His responsibilities will
include corporate HR, IT and
audit. Li had served as CEO
only since 1 January 2022.

Felix Hüthmair
management of KraussMaff ei's
main shareholder Sinochem will
head the supervisory board. The
change will be accompanied by
a significant strengthening of
the KraussMaff ei Group's management
board, which will be
increased to three members.
Jörg Bremer remains a member
of the management board as
chief financial off icer.

Klas Dahlberg
PLA manufacturer NatureWorks
has named Erik Ripple
as the company's new
president and CEO. Ripple will
succeed interim President and
CEO Jill Zullo, who has served
in the role since March 2023
when former CEO Rich Altice
retired from NatureWorks.
Ripple comes to NatureAndrei
Krés
Works from Nexeon Ltd. in the
United Kingdom, a manufacturer
of silicon carbide composites
for electric vehicle batteries. As
chief strategy off icer, Ripple led
the commercial, engineering
and program teams, enabling
the launch of their first commercial
product to battery manufacturers.
Prior
to that position, Ripple
Markus Kamieth
was the chief growth and innovation
off icer with Ingevity and
was the president of Asia Pacific
and the senior vice president
for Performance Materials
while living in Shanghai. Before
joining Ingevity in 2010, Ripple
spent 18 years with Eastman
Chemical Co., where he served
in leadership roles in innovation,
business management
and corporate development.
Charlotte Röber
The supervisory board of Borealis
has appointed Craig Arnold
as the new executive vice
president, Polyolefins, Circular
Economy Solutions and Innovation
& Technology, eff ective 1
February 2024. Arnold currently
is the chief commercial off icer
at Ferroglobe PLC in Madrid.
Prior to this appointment, he
had a long career at Dow Inc.,
where he held various senior
management roles. He has also
served on many industry associations,
academic and government-related
bodies.
Thomas Gangl, Borealis CEO,
assumes responsibility for the
Polyolefins, Circular Economy
Solutions and Innovation &
Technology segment on an interim
basis, eff ective 1 January
2024, until Arnold will resume
his role as Borealis executive
board member.
Two decades after departing
from the company, Felix
Hüthmair is returning to head
the sales department at machine
manufacturer Netstal, responsible
for global sales in the
application-specific business
areas. As vice president sales
at Netstal, he reports directly to
CEO Renzo Davatz.
The new appointment to this
key position will create an important
basis for the targeted
growth in the strategic business
areas of packaging, PET,
closures and medical technology.
Hüthmair previously served
as area sales manager for sales
in the Asia and Oceania region
from 1997 to 2003.
Wittmann Group has appointed
Kevin Wang general manager
of Wittmann in China. His responsibilities
include sales and
service in northern and eastern
China, including the Shanghai
subsidiary and the production
plant in Kunshan, about 30 kilometers
to the west of Shanghai.
Wittmann's sales and service
subsidiary in Dongguan, southern
China, which opened in May
2021, is led by Terry Liu.
Managing Director Jonathan
Ching, who successfully developed
and expanded Wittmann's
presence in China over the past
21 years, retired in mid-December
2023.
Nearly four months after the sudden
passing of former Hexpol
A.B. President and CEO Georg
Brunstam, the company has
named a successor. Klas Dahlberg
was appointed unanimously
as president and CEO by
Hexpol's board of directors on 19
December 2023. Dahlberg off icially
will assume the top executive
position in the company no
later than 1 July. Until then, deputy
CEO and CFO Peter Rosen
will continue to serve as acting
CEO and president.
Dahlberg currently serves
as head of business area NIBE
Climate Solutions, an Oslo, Norway,
firm that specializes in intelligent,
energy-eff icient indoor
comfort solutions. Previous to
that, Dahlberg spent 30 years
with the Scania Group, ultimately
serving as director of buses
and coaches. He holds a Master
of Science in engineering from
Lund University in Sweden.
Andrei Krés' role of acting
CFO at Sweden-based paper
and packaging expert Billerud,
assumed in August 2023, has
now been made permanent,
eff ective December 2023. Krés
joined Billerud in 2011 and has
since held several diff erent positions
within the company, including
head of group treasury and
vice president of group finance.
Eff ective at the end of the annual
shareholders' meeting on 25
April 2024, Dr. Markus Kamieth
will take over as chairman
of the board of executive
directors of BASF SE. This was
decided by the supervisory
board during its meeting on 20
December 2023. Kamieth has
been a member of the board
since 2017. He succeeds Dr. Martin
Brudermüller, who has been
chairman of the board since
2018 and has been a member of
the board since 2006.
Charlotte Röber has
stepped into the position of
managing director for VinylPlus
and the European Council of
Vinyl Manufacturers as of 1
January 2024. Röber has spent
the last 10 years at the European
PVC Window Profiles
and related Building Products
Association, where she served
as regulatory aff airs manager
and then as managing director
since 2019. Röber succeeds Dr.
Brigitte Dero in both positions.
