Sustainability for suppliers
is becoming a must
As a one-stop-shop supplier to the injection moulding industry, the Wittmann
Group is well aware of the sustainability requirements that customers today are
demanding. Michael Wittmann, CEO of the Wittman Group, talked to Sustainable
Plastics about how these are contributing to the strategy choices made today at the
company his father founded in 1976.

Wittmann, initially launched to

industry. The company is still
owned and run by the Wittmann

such as environmental protection,
sustainability and the circular

suppliers in helping customers
achieve this, we wondered.
Basically, said Michael
Wittmann, our role is to help
our customers achieve their
sustainability goals and to meet
their obligations.

" It's why we've put such an
emphasis on sustainability
and energy efficiency. We are
spending money and a significant
amount of research and
development on energy efficiency.
As a supplier, our customers
are also pushing us in
that direction. Today, customers
not only want, but they expect
their suppliers to have their sustainability
strategies in order.
Is that as a company or just

" Both. And so, we do this in a
number of ways, " he explained.
The Wittmann Group, he said,
