On the move in the plastics industry

The Supervisory Board of BASF
SE has elected Kurt Bock as
its new chairman. Bock had
previously been elected to the
Supervisory Board of BASF SE
by the Annual Shareholders'
Meeting as a shareholder representative. His term as chairman will run until the end of the
Annual Shareholders' Meeting
in 2024.
Bock succeeds Jürgen Hambrecht, who resigned from the
Supervisory Board at the end of
the Annual Shareholders' Meeting 2020.

Covestro CEO Markus Steilemann is the new President
of PlasticsEurope, the Brussels-based association of plastics manufacturers in Europe.
Steilemann was elected 24
June for a term of three years.
He succeeds Javier Constante
of Dow Chemical, who oversaw
a fundamental reorganisation of
the association.
Sustainability will be a major
focus: Steilemann has said he
plans to centre the work of the
association even more on driving sustainability and in particular the circular economy.
Rcycling equipment manufacturer Vecoplan added two new
members to its management
team in June. The company
named Andreas Jung as the
new technical manager, responsible for the supply chain,
effective the beginning of
June; Jochen Pfeil took over
the role of general manager
of the service division from
Markus Claudy as from midJune. Jung came to Vecoplan
from an internationally operating special machine manufacturer in the automation field;
Pfeil has 30 years at Vecoplan
under his belt. Both Jung and
Pfeil have seats on the management board.
Styrenics giant Ineos Styrolution has appointed Kevin McQuade, who has led the company as Chief Executive Officer
since 1 January 2015, as Chairman of Ineos Styrolution.

Steve Harrington, took over
the CEO role, reporting to Kevin, effective from July 1, 2020.

Andreas Fischer has been
named Evonik's new chief innovation officer, effective 1 July.
Fischer holds a degree in
industrial engineering. His career started at a world-leading
producer of industrial cleaning
agents and hygiene products.
He then held a number of positions at Evonik's predecessor
companies, initially in sales and
subsequently as head of various
business entities. He became
head of the Silica business line
in 2012 and became a member
of the board of management
of Evonik Resource Efficiency
GmbH in 2019.
Kompuestos, a Spanish manufacturer of sustainable compounds, has appointed Albert
de la Riva as an Independent
Director and member of the
Board of Directors. An industrtial engineer who also holds
an MBA, he has worked for
more than ten years in strategic
consulting, leading projects for
large corporations in more than
ten countries.
His areas of expertise are
strategy, digital transformation
and innovation with a focus on
advanced data analytics.
The Supervisory Board of the
Renolit Group has appointed
Thomas Sampers (56) to
the Executive Board of Renolit SE with effect from July 1st,
2020. Sampers, who holds a
degree in business administration, succeeds Dr. Axel Bruder,
who had been a member of the
Executive Board since 2005.
Bruder will continue to support
the company as a consultant.
At the same time, the family-owned company announced
a structural reorganization. The
company is now organized into
13 Market Units, in alignment
with the new, highly goal-oriented corporate strategy implemented in May 2020.
Nova Chemicals Corporation's Board of
Directors has appointed Luis Sierra as

President and Chief Executive
Officer effective August 1, 2020.
He will succeed Todd Karran,
who previously announced his
retirement. Luis Sierra joins
NOVA Chemicals after a distinguished 30-year career at BP,
where most recently he was
CEO of BP's aromatic chemicals business , leading a successful global petrochemicals
business with operations in the
United States, China, Belgium,
Indonesia and Taiwan.

Sweden's Dellner Bubenzer
Group has appointed a new
CEO to lead their UK-based
Polymer Solutions Division.
Mikael Petersson joins
the group from Swedish electromechanical gear specialist
Swedrive, where he had been
CEO for nearly 7 years. Prior
to this, Petersson was sales
director for two other Swedish
companies - plastic injection
specialist KB components and
machine component manufacturer, the Rudhall Group.
Dellner Polymer Solutions incorporates two UK companies,
Dellner Woodville and Silentbloc and has its headquarters
in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, UK.
Zahoransky AG, a German, family-owned engineering company specialised in mould making,
packaging machines and system technology, has appointed
Bernd Stein as its new Chief
Technical Officer. Stein, who
has a background in mechanical engineering, previously
served on the board of Zahoransky in the period between
2005 and 2013. He left to take
on the role of COO at Kiefel
GmbH in Freilassing.
He started his new
role at Zahoransky on 1 August.
