PreZero buys François S.à r.l.
Danish extrusion company Primo
strengthens its Swedish footprint
Talent Plastics, now
acquired by Primo
François becomes
part
of PreZero.
PREZERO LUXEMBOURG has
acquired Itzig, Luxembourgbased
François S.à r.l, a medium-sized
waste management
company with 16 employees and
a modern fleet of vehicles off ering
a range of environmental
services. The services include
the disposal and treatment of
liquid and biological waste.
François caters, among others,
to private households, industry
and commerce, and public-sector
clients. As a result of this
latest acquisition, PreZero now
boasts a total of four locations in
Luxembourg and employs more
than 600 people.
Hillenbrand Inc. snaps up Herbold
RECYCLING EQUIPMENT
manufacturer Herbold, based
in Meckesheim, Germany,
has been purchased by Hillenbrand
- the owner of such
well-known brands as Coperion,
Milacron Injection Molding
& Extrusion, Mold-Masters and
Rotex. With annual revenue of
more than €50 million, Herbold
is highly complementary to
the equipment and solutions
off ered under the Coperion
brand and the aquisition
will accelerate Hillenbrand's
growth opportunities in the
recycling end market. Hillenbrand
is acquiring Herbold for
an enterprise value of approximately
€79 million in a deal
that is expected to close in the
fourth quarter of this year.
The sale to Hillenbrand
will end four generations and
nearly 140 years of family control
for Herbold, which dates
to 1884 when Adam Herbold
established a millwright shop.
Brothers Karlheinz Herbold
and Werner Herbold have
been in charge since 1978.
Its operations today include
220 workers and a 10,000
m2 production facility measuring
in Meckesheim. Herbold,
whose product range
includes washing, separating,
drying, shredding and pulverizing
equipment, will join
with Hillenbrand's Coperion
and Rotex brands in the firm's
Advanced Process Solutions
segment, which focuses on
highly engineered industrial
processing solutions and aftermarket
parts and services.
Coperion makes equipment
for compounding and extrusion,
feeding and weighing
and bulk material handling and
provides service. Rotex makes
screeners and separators.
Hillenbrand, a publicly
traded company based in
Batesville, Indiana that has
its roots in casket making and
still operates in that segment,
said the acquisition will add to
adjusted earnings per share
within the first full year following
completion of the deal.
The company will use available
cash as well as borrowing
capacity in the company's
existing revolving credit line to
make the purchase.

PRIMO, A COPENHAGEN,
Denmark-based producer of
extrusion profiles has purchased
100% of the shares in
Talent Plastics Göteborg AB.
Primo closed the deal with
the owner of Talent Plastics,
Ahlmarks, on 30 June. With
the divestment of Talents, Ahlmarks
is no longer active in
the extrusion business.
Talent Plastics Göteborg
AB was established in 1964
and is today an extrusion
company with 22 employees,
18 extrusion lines and sales of
46 m SEK (2021). The company
manufactures bespoke
plastic profiles, including,
among others, cable solutions
for the off shore industry.
With the change of ownership
comes a change of
name: Talent Plastics Göteborg
AB will further be known
as Primo Göteborg AB.
Primo has sales and production
activities at 12 locations
in 8 countries in Europe
and Asia. Primo was founded
and owned by the Grunnet
family in 1959. The group currently
has 947 employees and
a turnover of EUR 181 million.
Trinseo and GMP partner
on PS recycling plant
Trinseo and GMP Group collaborate
on the production of recycled PS.
TRINSEO, A SPECIALTY material
solutions provider, and
GMP Group (GMP), a circular
business innovations company
in the Netherlands, have
announced plans for a collaboration
that will see the two
companies cooperating on an
exclusive basis, on the construction
and operation by GMP
of an advanced pretreatment or
regeneration plant with a minimum
25kt capacity in the Netherlands.
The plant will purify PS

waste and deliver high-quality
recycled PS pellets via the Super
Clean recycling process.
The anticipated startup date of
the plant in the Netherlands is
2024. There is also an intended
execution of a long-term tolling
and off -taking agreement.
The two companies will also
conduct research into other
supply and processing opportunities,
utilising their combined
technology expertise to help develop
more sustainable solutions.
