Tove Andersen
Tomra has a new president and
CEO, eff ective August 16, 2021.
Tove Andersen, the first female
president and CEO of the
company since it was founded in
1972, has taken over from Stefan
Ranstrand, who held the position
for the past 12 years.
Tove Andersen has come to
Sheida Sahandy
Tomra from the leading global
fertilizer company YARA International,
which is also headquartered
in Norway, where she was
executive vice president Europe.
Commenting on starting her
new role, Tove Andersen said:

Encina Development Group, a
company that turns waste plastics
into circular chemicals has
named Sheida Sahandy
as its Chief Sustainability Officer.
Sheida brings to Encina
a cross-section of experience
spanning business, government,
science, and law. Most recently,
she served as a member of the
executive cabinet for Washington
State Governor Jay Inslee,
where she led the turnaround of
the State agency responsible for
the recovery of the nation's largest
estuary. Sheida holds a BA
from UC Berkeley, a Juris Doctorate
from Columbia University
School of Law, and a master's
degree from Harvard University
Kennedy School of Government.

Specialty chemicals company
Lubrizol Corp. in Wickliff e, Ohio,
has named Chris Brown
president and CEO, eff ective 20
August. The company's former
president, chairman and CEO,
Eric Schnur, will remain at the
company in an advisory role.
A reason was not given for the
leadership change.
Brown joins Lubrizol from
BHE Infrastructure Group, which,
like Lubrizol, is a company in
Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio.
Brown served as president and
CEO at BHE Infrastructure. Prior
to that, he was president for
North American sales and service
operations for wind turbine
supplier Vestas and chief operating
off icer for the city of Detroit.
Agilyx Corporation, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Agilyx AS
has appointed Carsten Larsen
as chief commercial off icer and
senior vice president of Business
Development for Agilyx, eff ective
1 September 2021. He replaces
Bill Cooper who has now joined
Cyclyx LLC as senior vice president
of Strategic Relationships.
Larsen is an experienced
commercial leader with more
than 25 years of industrial expertise,
most recently having served
as commercial director, Plastics
Circularity, Europe, Middle East,
Africa and Asia Pacific for Dow
Inc. where he was responsible
for plastic sustainability strategy
development and implementation.
Larsen also served as managing
director for Dow Nordics,
leading cross-functional international
teams and managed key
external partnerships.
LyondellBasell announced 25 August
that its CEO, Bob Patel, 54,
would retire on 31 December 2021
after serving as CEO and a member
of the board of directors since
2015. Days later, on 31 August,
Standard Industries Holdings, a
privately held global industrial
company that is currently in the
process of acquiring Maryland,
USA-based specialty chemicals
and materials company W.R.
Grace, announced that Patel
will join the company as CEO of
Grace, eff ective January 2022.
He will succeed Hudson La
Force, who has been CEO of
Grace since 2018 and who will
now become a member of Standard's
advisory board.
Engel has named Emilio López
as its new managing director of
Engel de Mexico SA de CV. He
succeeds Peter Auinger, who retired
on 1st September 2021.
Emilio López brings extensive
experience of sales and management
in the plastics and chemicals
industries to his new role.
Straddling two cultures, he divided
his time between Germany
and Latin America after studying
plastics engineering in Germany.
He will aim to consolidate after-sales
services while expanding
the training programme for
clients in Mexico and other Latin
American nations. Mexico, where
Engel has two established sites, is
the machine manufacturer's largest
Latin American market.
Packaging manufacturer Robinson
has appointed Laura
Donington as Group Marketing
Manager to support the delivery
of the marketing strategy
across their international business.
Laura brings a wealth of
B2B marketing experience ranging
from digital marketing, PR,
events management, communications,
as well as branding.
Laura is a STEM Ambassador
with a passion for sustainability.
In her previous roles, including
with environment charity PECT,
North East Lincolnshire Council
and Ultimate Packaging, she
managed social responsibility
and volunteering programmes
supporting businesses and
communities to make sustainable
changes.
Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced
Materials has hired Henning
Bloech as Global Director -
Sustainable Solutions, eff ective
October 1, 2021. He will be
located in Germany. Henning
brings more than 15 years of
professional experience in sustainability
and corporate governance
in Europe and North
America to the organization.
The Global Director Sustainable
Solutions is a newly created
position. Bloech will be responsible
for executing MCAM's
global Circular Economy strategy
and supporting its vision of
" Realizing KAITEKI " .
Henning studied Business Administration,
American Studies,
Retail Management and Scandinavian
Studies at the Georg
August University in Göttingen,
Germany, earning a Magister
Artium degree. He is a graduate
of the UL Executive Leadership
Program of the Yale School of
Management.
