News —Jillian Gordon Welcome to Miami his year’s Intercoiffure America/Canada (ICA) Spring Symposium quite simply rocked! The two-day educational soiree, held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, saw dazzling runway presentations and entertaining hands-on classes by pro-beauty’s top artists. Day One opened with a rallying presentation courtesy of ICA President Lois Christie, followed by an array of hair fashion shows from ICA Creative Director Jo BlackwellPreston, Wella’s The Doves (psst: Sonya Dove also serves as ICA Hair Color Council Creative Director!), ICA Color Council’s Belinda Gambuzza, Hotheads hair extensions, Perry Monge and the ICA Nouveau team, Fashion Frenzy ﬁnalists, L’Oréal Professionnel’s Suzanne Sturm and James Morrison, and ICA Fashion Director Vivienne Mackinder. All this, complemented by education from Blackwell-Preston, Gambuzza, Wella’s Amy and Woody Michleb, Anthony Muti and Andreas Zaﬁriadis, and Keratin Complex’s Deborah Gavin. And if you thought the day couldn’t be more jam-packed, topping off the festivities was a rock and roll white party that had attendees dancing all night long. Of course, neither presenters nor attendees could party too hard—Day Two was mere hours away! The second day witnessed fashionable presentations by ICA Artistic Team members Sherri Jessee, Faatemah Ampey and David Kinigson, as well as an inspiring talk from Mackinder, along with classes from the ICA Artistic Team, Chromastics’ Tom Dispenza and Inspiring Champions’ Lauren Gartland.
