2017 Trainee Activities: Same Dedication to
Excellence, With a Few New Twists

he ASH annual meeting provides hematology trainees with a
variety of high-quality educational, career-development, and
networking opportunities. To help trainees make the most of
their meeting experience, a number of activities and services have been
identified as most relevant to the unique interests of undergraduates,
medical and graduate students, residents, and fellows (MD and PhD).

How to Set Up a Laboratory

identify cultural differences between basic science investigators
and clinical researchers. The discussion will center on the interface between biomedical science and clinical medicine. The session will also

help trainees develop the skills to
participate in and lead translational
research teams.
