ike all OCFO agencies, the Office of the
Chief Risk Officer (OCRO) has demonstrated its resiliency during this time of
uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus
Disease 2019 "COVID-19."

During these uncertain and unprecedented times, it's important to stay connected to our employees as well as family
and friends. Promoting and maintaining
employee morale often and consistently is

team meetings to discuss work projects,
conduct pulse checks to gauge employee
well-being, safety, and health as well as
providing the team with OCFO COVID
updates. Team members are encouraged
to try to maintain positivity and optimism
to minimize the anxiety that we feel as a
result of the pandemic and recent events

To promote collegiality, the staff motivates each other and have become each

share responsibilities to show accountability, and demonstrate respect for each other

serve. During COVID, OCRO welcomed a

However, utilizing Microsoft TEAMS helped
us ensure a smooth transition for the new
member.
Inherently, a remote workforce increases
the likelihood of emerging risks such as
breakdowns in existing internal control(s),
management overrides, data security risks,
and noncompliance with laws, regulations,
and policies and procedures. The Office of
the Chief Risk Officer (OCRO) worked with
various business units across the District
to develop a plan to manage and monitor
emerging risks by:
