electronic processes. We were able to rely
on everyone's expertise for the best path
forward as Partners all working for the good
of the OCFO and District residents. I want
to personally thank all these amazing partners within the OCFO.
The other piece of the puzzle was adaptability. My team are the true stars in the
success of the Office of Contracts finding a
path forward. Their ability to adapt to electronic processes on the fly and to overcome
hiccups, frozen screens, scrambled calls,
dropped calls enabled us to keep moving
forward. We are patient with each other, we
chuckle at the sound of the dog in the background, we ask to say "Hello" if we see a little
person trying to sneak behind their parent
during a call, we giggle at the Seniors being
cared for because they don't sneak in the
background, they just walk in. We ask about
each other's health and our loved ones at the
beginning of every call because keeping ourselves and our loved ones healthy and safe
is at the forefront of our concerns. We have
adapted and my heart is filled with pride at
the empathy, caring, and kindness that I have
witnessed during these perilous times. The
Office of Contracts and OCFO are not just
surviving this pandemic, we are thriving. *
