street, sidewalk and alley repairs, Fire
and EMS vehicles, etc. This direct outreach improves the investor community's understanding of the District's
strong finances and robust economy,
and therefore generates increased
interest in our bonds. This increased
interest in the District's debt, as well as
that of the other agencies, ultimately
leads to lower overall borrowing costs
for the District, which should allow for
more program and/or capital projects
to be financed.

In addition to the credit presentations
and meetings, the District, DC Water and
MWAA organized site tours for the conference participants to further highlight
key capital projects. The District's site
tour highlighted key economic development projects, including, Capitol
Crossing, the Wharf, Navy Yard and the
DC United Soccer Stadium. Given the
very positive feedback from attendees
at this year's conference, another institutional investor conference is tentatively planned for 2020.

The District of Columbia hosted its second ever Institutional Investor Conference,
in conjunction with the DC Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water), the
Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) and the Washington
Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).
