As I begin my new five-year term, I am grateful to
have employees committed to public service to take
on the significant challenges associated with the many
initiatives.

program, this initiative is often the most

difficult to accomplish and is the difference maker for those business or governments that are the best at what they
do. These changes can take years and
are not easy. We will have to provide new
systems and processes, training for leadership and change management, hire
and promote the right people who reflect
the culture we want, and the support systems to make it all happen. These programs are laid out in the strategic plan
with the simple goal to be a best in class
financial organization.
Over the next few years we will have
fully implemented a new tax system
that will allow taxpayers to have all the
modern online services they expect and
the tools to provide better and more
accurate service by the OCFO staff. We
will implement a new financial system
that will provide better services and
accountability such as on-time vendor
payments, transparency of financial
information, more efficient contract and
cost monitoring, and more efficient business processes.
