Transportation Special Marathon Weekend Transportation has been arranged for participants staying at WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Hotels. Buses will be indicated by Marathon Weekend Transportation signs placed in the front windows. Staff in yellow shirts will be onsite at the resorts and event locations to assist. Disney’s Health & Fitness Expo presented by CIGNA Thursday, January 8 – Saturday, January 10 Special Marathon Weekend Transportation will depart from WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Hotels to Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex approximately every 20 minutes. Transportation to the Expo will begin one half hour prior to opening and will continue until one half hour after closing. Mickey’s Marathon Kids’ Fest Friday, January 9 - Saturday, January 10 Please utilize transportation to Disney’s Health & Fitness Expo for the kids’ races. Special Marathon Weekend Transportation will depart from WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Hotels to Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex approximately every 20 minutes. Circle of Life 5K Friday, January 9 Special Marathon Weekend Transportation is available from WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resorts to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The last bus will depart from each resort at 6:00 a.m. Participants will be given priority over spectators boarding the buses to the starting area. Special Marathon Weekend Transportation will resume after the start of the 5K at 7:00 a.m. Transportation concludes at 9:30 a.m. WALT DISNEY WORLD® Half Marathon and Marathon presented by CIGNA Saturday, January 10 and Sunday, January 11 Monorail transportation will be provided to those participants staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Resort beginning at 3:00 a.m. The Monorail will transport you to the Ticket and Transportation Center where you will board a second Monorail that will transport you to Epcot®. Participants must board Monorails by 4:00 a.m. to be on time for the start. Special Marathon Weekend Transportation will begin departure from all other WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resorts at 3:00 a.m. Buses will be indicated by Marathon Weekend Transportation signs placed in the front windows. Participants must board buses by 4:00 a.m. to be on time for the start. Participants will be given priority over spectators boarding the buses to the starting area. Every effort will be made to accommodate all participants and spectators. Special Marathon Weekend Transportation will continue throughout the morning for spectators. Please note, Marathon Weekend Transportation will be suspended between 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. due to the race start and road closures. After the race, bus stops will be set up for Marathon Weekend Transportation in the Family Reunion area at Epcot®. • Half Marathon Special Marathon Weekend Transportation from Epcot® to WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Hotels concludes at 11:00 a.m. Please note that the start of the Half Marathon is 5:50 a.m. • Marathon Special Marathon Weekend Transportation from Epcot® to WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Hotels concludes at 2:00 p.m. Please note that the start of the Marathon is 5:50 a.m. Arriving by car for the Half Marathon and Marathon If you are arriving by car, follow road signs to Epcot®. At the auto plaza you will be instructed where to park. Volunteers and signs will guide you to the Family Reunion area. For the safety of the participants, the Epcot® main entrance will be closed from 5:45 a.m. until 7:15 a.m. on Sunday due to race start and road closures. Post Race Celebration Sunday, January 11 Special Marathon Weekend Transportation is not provided for this event. Please use existing WALT DISNEY WORLD® Bus Transportation from WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort Hotels to Downtown Disney® Area. Buses are available throughout the day. The last bus departs Downtown Disney® Area at 2:00 a.m. 27
