What is Disney Youth
Education Series?
Educational programs taught by
Disney facilitators at various locations
throughout Disneyland®
California Adventure®
participate in one or more programs
during their visit.
Who can participate?
Individuals and youth groups from
schools, academic clubs, religious
groups, leadership programs, scout
groups, and homeschool groups with
students from 3rd to 12th grade;
ages 8-18.
When are Disney Youth Education
Series experiences available?
Experiences are scheduled based on
availability, and are approximately
2 1/2 to 3 hours in length.
Are there age and grade level
requirements?
Yes. Please check the Disney Youth
Education Series order form for program
listings and the recommended ages and
grade levels for each.
Can Chaperones attend?
Yes! One complimentary chaperone
ticket will be provided for every 10
tickets purchased. Also, teachers
receive 1 complimentary ticket per 30
students. Additional guests may purchase
a Disney Youth Experience Ticket.

Energy and Waves Physics Lab
at Disneyland®
Park
-101: (Grades 3–5, 21⁄2 hours)
Discover light and sound as forms
of energy and how to use them in
practical application. See first-hand
how these elements are a vital part
of creating world class attractions
and how Disney uses these physical
properties to entertain and amaze
guests from all over the world. As
they travel through the park, students
will come to understand some of
physics most noted historical figures
and their impact on the field.
Energy and Waves Physics Lab at
Disney California Adventure®
Park
-201: (Grades 6–12, 21⁄2 hours)
Witness physics principles at
work in creating true to form
Disney attractions. With hands-on
experiments and demonstrations,
students come to understand the
fundamentals of electromagnetism,
acoustics and optics, and the different
mediums that affect the transmission
of light and sound waves.
Properties of Motion Physics Lab
at Disney California Adventure®
- Learn the role of mechanical physics
at Disney California Adventure®
Park
Park.
Students will study Newton’s Laws of
Motion and use the scientific method
to explore the practical uses of speed,
velocity, friction, gravity and different
forms of energy. With the Park as
their learning lab, students will use
hands-on experiments to see and
test the relationship between physics
and their favorite Disney attractions.

LIBERAL ARTS
Designing a Disney Story at Disney
California Adventure®
Park - Learn
about the complex components
that work together to bring favorite
Disney characters and stories to the
big screen and Disney Parks. Students
will study Walt Disney’s role in the
history and processes used to create
early animated features, as well as
the innovative animation techniques
used to bring the vision of modern
storytellers to life. Students will
explore their own storytelling skills by
creating a kineograph and planning
and designing a storyboard.
(Grades 3–12, 3 hours)
Exploring the Golden State at
Disney California Adventure®
Park
- Students will travel through the
park to explore the four regions of
California, Native Americans, the Gold
Rush and the California Missions.
They will learn about the state’s rich
history including the influential events
and people that shaped the Golden
State such as Chuck Yeager, Amelia
Earhart, Howard Hughes, John Muir
and Walt Disney. Students will also be
inspired as they learn of the obstacles
early Californians overcame to fulfill
their dreams. (Grade 3–5, 21⁄2 hours)
