Better together
The colocation of EFA Expo and Medtrade Spring is designed to
foster a better understanding of seniors' overall needs as they age
By Kevin Gaffney
We know the healthcare market has already
begun adjusting for the 76 million baby boomers currently in the U.S., as close to 10,000
turn 65 each day. It's estimated that by 2025,
there will be 58 million in the 65-to-84 age
group, requiring a continued evolution of services for at least the next 10-15 years.
This shift in demographics makes the
environments in which seniors live a critical
component in the overall quality of their lives.
Likewise, the products and equipment they
use in these environments takes on considerable significance.
In 2017, you'll be able to enjoy the same

you always have, benefitting from an unparalleled opportunity to see the latest in design
products and services-but you'll also get to
see some of the newest and most innovative
products that seniors can use in their homes
every day. Medtrade Spring, which will colocate with EFA Expo next year, connects the
various players in the home medical equipment
(HME) industry, bringing together thousands
of HME providers, home healthcare professionals, and leading manufacturers of home
healthcare products and technology.
The benefit for you is a unique chance to
experience another sector of the senior care

continuum, one that's keenly interested in
fitting into the various settings that seniors call
home, now and in the future.
As you plan your trip to EFA Expo 2017 in
Las Vegas, take note of the slightly altered
schedule from previous years. EFA Expo will
now kick off on a Sunday (Feb. 26) with community tours, and will continue Monday with
our opening keynote, conference sessions,
awards luncheon, and opening networking reception. Tuesday continues with more
education and exhibit hall hours. We'll wrap
things up on Wednesday, March 1, with sessions, additional exhibit hall hours for both EFA
Expo and Medtrade Spring, and our closing
keynote.
I invite you to join us at the EFA Expo &
Conference at the exciting Mandalay Bay Hotel
and Convention Center in Las Vegas, for an
experience like no other. EFA
